Summertime
Mayrhofen has been known as a starting point for walks by holidaymakers in the mountains for over one hundred years. The Penken and Ahorn cable cars transport those wishing to reach the summit more comfortably and quicker than on foot.
Whether its trekking on over 200km of footpaths, leisurely discovering one of the five subsidiary valleys or tramping from hut to hut, as well as rafting, riding, tennis, squash, mini golf: The Zillertal has all this and a lot more to offer.
Wintertime
The Mayrhofen cable cars offer unlimited piste power!.157km of ski slopes and 49 lifts will raise the spirits of any winter sportsman. Artificial snow machines over the entire area mean that snow is guaranteed throughout the winter.
Mayrhofen's ski slopes offer a successful mixture of easy, moderate and challenging pistes. The valley descent from the "Ahorn" is the longest in the entire Zillertal. The many bars on the edge of the ski slopes provide for après ski fun.
It's not only skiers and boarders who find their ideal sports field in the Zillertal. There are also enough opportunities for non-skiers to enjoy the winter at its best. 5 subsidiary valleys offer winter walks and treks, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and romantic carriage-rides. Discos and bars invite you for small talk or simply to dance the night away. For those who just can't get enough of the snow, we recommend an evening tobogganing excursion.
